Healing well is half the result

Your collagen response is shaped by how you care for the area after each session. Here is exactly what to do.

✓ First 3 days

  • Expect redness, warmth, and mild swelling. This is a normal healing response and settles over a few days.
  • Do not wash the treated area directly with soap on the first day. From day two, use a mild, unscented antibacterial soap.
  • No exercise or heavy sweating for the first 3 days.
  • Wear loose, breathable clothing over the treated area.
  • Do not touch, rub, or scratch the area with unwashed hands.

✓ First weeks

  • No pools, jacuzzis, hot tubs, or saunas for 10 days to minimize infection risk.
  • Apply only the aftercare products we provide or recommend, on the schedule we give you. No other lotions on the area while it heals.
  • Light flaking or small scabs are normal. Let them shed on their own. Never pick, peel, or scratch.
  • No exfoliants, retinoids, or acids on the area until we clear you.

✓ Sun & tanning

  • Avoid direct sun and tanning beds on the treated area until any post-treatment pigmentation has fully faded, typically 6 to 8 weeks.
  • Because no ink is used, you can safely tan the area again once it has completely healed.
  • Do not arrive at future sessions with a tan or sunburn in the treatment area.

✓ While results develop

  • Visible healing takes 6 to 8 weeks on average, and collagen remodeling continues for months after. Judge each session's result only after healing completes.
  • Take progress photos in consistent lighting so you can see the change.
  • Contact us any time if something does not look or feel right. We would rather hear from you early.
